I've created this page because I want to make a difference.
I am a GP registrar currently working in Smithton, Tasmania. I haven’t been in the healthcare bizo for long, but I’ve found it astonishing how many people live with persistent pain and it is heart-sinking to observe the functional and social consequences it can lead to. In under-resourced rural areas, specialised multi-disciplinary pain management clinics are hard to access and patients with persistent pain can very quickly lose hope. I can’t wait to join the Pain Revolution to help empower rural health care professionals to view persistent pain management with a positive ‘spin’ and a new evidence-based approach. Touring my home state of Tasmania on a bike is also a superb bonus!
I'm inspired by the work of University of South Australia and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in Pain Revolution 2019. Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about University of South Australia, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
